Housing Strategy 2015-2020
The Guildford Borough Housing Strategy 2015-20, (PDF, 4 MB) set out our ambitions for housing. After carrying out a consultation in 2014 with Guildford residents and stakeholders, the new strategy was adopted in February 2015.
The Housing Strategy 2015-20 concentrated on affordable housing and the use and quality of existing homes.
Responses to comments received during the consultation can be read in our Housing Strategy 2015-20 Consultation Responses Summary. (PDF, 784 KB)
Rural housing
As part of our Housing Strategy and Rural Economic Strategy, we are supporting the delivery of affordable housing on rural exception sites. Rural exception sites are small plots of land that can be used for housing.
Our goal is to provide rural affordable housing for the local community to help families stay together and prevent the loss of local services.
