What is domestic abuse?
Domestic abuse can be an incident or pattern of incidents. The behaviour can be:
- controlling
- coercive
- threatening
- degrading
- linked to sexual violence
It is rarely a one-off event, but tends to escalate in frequency and severity over time.
Where can I get help?
If you're in immediate danger, call the Police on 999.

- hurt or abused by a partner
